I am an Architect-Planner from the northern parts of singara Chennai, and in my experiences and aspirations, I would like to think I am someone almost as diverse as the city I come from.
Currently, I am a Ph.D. Scholar (Joint MCP-PhD and PMRF) at the Department of Architecture and Regional Planning, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, working under the supervision of Dr. Tarak Nath Mazumder and Dr. Arup Das. My research interest lies in understanding pre-colonial Indian cities through characterization of their urban socio-spatial structure by describing typologies of urban spaces. The idea is to explore the contours of difference in the residential fabric of a city as to who lives where in what kind of built environment, the underlying patterns and processes.
